DSLR Microscope Adapter - NY-1S

APS-C DSLR and mirrorless microscope adapter for high-resolution imaging

NY-1S is a relay-lens microscope adapter designed to connect interchangeable-lens cameras to microscopes. It supports microscope photography, video recording, documentation and inspection work when the camera mount and microscope-side connection are properly matched.

The optical system is optimized for APS-C DSLR and mirrorless cameras. For full-frame camera bodies, please use the NY-1S35 full-frame adapter series instead.

Key Features of NY-1S

Built-In Relay Lens for Camera Imaging

NY-1S includes an optical relay lens system developed for DSLR and mirrorless microscope imaging. It helps project the microscope image to the camera sensor with practical field coverage for APS-C cameras.

Reduced Vignetting and Optical Aberration

The adapter is designed to reduce vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberration compared with simple mechanical-only camera coupling methods. Actual image field depends on the microscope optical path and camera format.

Remote live view control for microscope imaging

Remote Live View Operation

Many DSLR and mirrorless cameras support PC-based live view, remote shutter control and image transfer. This makes focusing, checking composition and archiving images easier during microscope observation.

Eyepiece Tube Connection

NY-1S can be attached to suitable microscope eyepiece tubes, including common 23.2 mm and 30 mm tube configurations when the mechanical fit is appropriate.

Compatible Microscope Applications

  • Stereo microscopes for inspection and documentation
  • Biological microscopes for laboratory imaging
  • Metallurgical microscopes for material observation
  • Measuring microscopes and industrial optical systems
  • Eyepiece tube connection, when mechanically suitable
  • Trinocular phototube connection with proper sleeve/adaptation
  • C-mount paths, depending on microscope-side configuration
  • Camera mount attachment selected by camera body mount
