surface) reflects back the light with wavelength shorter than 550nm (purple
to cyan) and transmit the light with wavelength longer that 550nm (yellow
to red) Dichroic filter efficiently eliminates excess light (which may be captured along in the background) and transmits fluorescence to produce high contrast image. |
